Thank you for stepping up to volunteer for your local Penn Hills Soccer community. We are a volunteer run organization. We could not exist without volunteer like yourself! We also ask that you volunteer your teenagers to help us with tasks such as concession work. It is a great way to introduce them into community work and volunteerism is a safe environment.

Please fill out this easy to use Google Form to volunteer in a variety of ways for the Fall 2024 and Spring of 2025. We need volunteer recreational coaches, volunteers to work in the concession stand or run the grill, volunteer referees, field liners, and people who can help set up the fields only 2 times a year. Right now, we have the same people doing tons of work! We are a volunteer association that only thrives with team work.

Field Set-Up:

What field set up consists of:

Behind the scenes, a crucial group of volunteers works tirelessly to ensure that every field is set up with precision and care.  Twice a year, at the onset of each season, typically in the first week of September for fall and the first week of April for spring, these individuals devote their time and expertise to accurately measure and mark the playing fields.  Once the fields are measured and initially lined, we need volunteers to line the fields each week during the 8 weeks of the season. This is perfect for people who want to volunteer but who have very limited time. You only need to volunteer 2 days per year.

Field liners:

What field set up consists of:

One essential aspect of maintaining our top-notch soccer fields is the crucial role played by our field liners. This volunteer opportunity offers a flexible and convenient way to contribute to the community. What makes this volunteer opportunity particularly attractive is its flexibility. Whether you have the time to trace the fields once or can commit to a weekly schedule, every contribution is highly valued. This role is perfect for individuals with limited availability who still want to make a meaningful impact on the soccer experience in Penn Hills.

Our field liners utilize specialized painting carts to trace over the meticulously marked lines that have been established during field set up. This crucial task typically takes place on Thursday or Friday evenings, with the schedule adjusted based on factors such as weather conditions and the timing of the mowing schedule. This attention to detail ensures that the fields are in prime condition for play, maintaining the integrity and fairness of the game.
